After living in Charleston, SC most of my life, and after retiring from BellSouth, my wife and I moved to beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC in 2003. My hobbies include:




Flying – I’m a Commercial Pilot with an Instrument Rating with over 5300 hours. I’m also a Certified Flight Instructor – Instruments, Multi-Engine Instructor and Advanced Ground Instructor, Ex-military Army pilot/Veteran and a member of the American Bonanza Society. I own a Bonanza F33A based at Myrtle Beach International (KMYR).

I’m currently a Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team (FAAST) Representative. I do Safety Seminars for pilots in the Myrtle Beach area and assist FAA and other FAAST Team Representatives in South Carolina in safety activities.





Ham Radio – My newest hobby is Ham Radio. I have a FCC General License and am past Vice President of the Grand Strand Amateur Radio Club and a current member. Check out our website at GSARC. I’m a member of Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES), AUXCOMM, a Certified Horry County Radio Operator and the ARES Area 4 District Emergency Coordinator responsible for 8 counties.
